Trimeka Benjamin appointed to Glazer Children’s Museum Board of Directors

TAMPA, Fla. (January 14, 2016) – The Glazer Children’s Museum (GCM) in downtown Tampa continues to add prominent leaders within the business community to its board of directors. The newest member, Trimeka Benjamin, President and CEO of Swim Digital Group will join the board for a three year term beginning in January 2016.

“I see Trimeka Benjamin as a valuable asset to the Glazer Children’s Museum for now and the future,” said Hillsborough County Commissioner Sandra Murman, GCM vice chair, development. “Trimeka has been a tireless advocate for children, having 2 young children herself. She has achieved successful accomplishments in both the marketing world and as a small business owner.”

“The Glazer Children’s Museum offers children a unique opportunity to engage with interactive exhibits and develop a life-long appreciation of art during the formative years,” said Benjamin. “I am honored to be appointed to the board and I look forward to working with the museum’s dedicated board members as we look to become a world-class children’s museum.”

Benjamin brings impressive business management and leadership credentials to the GCM board. Currently serving as Secretary on the board of The Spring of Tampa, she is also a founding member of The Women’s Exchange Forum of Tampa Bay, an organization created with the mission of increasing female representation on boards. Business acumen acquired over the course of Benjamin’s career, includes time with NASCAR and experience with medical and healthcare organizations in Florida, in addition to Swim Digital Group.
