PACE Center for Girls – Hillsborough

Application Deadline:

Position open until filled.

Board Description:

PACE is a nationally recognized and research-based gender-responsive model for girls and young women of middle and high school age. PACE provides holistic, gender responsive and trauma informed services including academics, counseling, service learning, career preparation and independent living skills. PACE uses a strengths-based approach that harnesses the unique potential of each girl with a focus on future outcomes.

In addition to standard school subjects, students are exposed to a life-management curriculum called Spirited Girls, student-volunteer projects and Career programs. Each girl is assigned a counselor. The relationship with the counselor is used to explore “the why’s” of a girl’s enrollment. In concert with her guardian, they develop a social service plan to address her behaviors and combat the obstacles that lie before her.
