Alissa Ellison Appointed to Glazer Children’s Museum Board of Directors

TAMPA, FL, April 7, 2017- Alissa Ellison was appointed to the Glazer Children’s Museum (GCM) Board of Directors for a three year term that began in January 2017. GCM is an innovative educational museum in downtown Tampa that creates an environment for children to learn, play, and discover. The GCM Board of Directors are chosen to help establish the future, mission, and values of the Museum itself and its exhibits, training programs, and special events.

Ellison has a twelve-year career at Gray Robinson Attorneys at Law in Tampa, FL. She is a Shareholder and serves as a member of the Appellate, Litigation, Class Action Defense, and Banking & Finance Practice Group. She represents financial institutions with respect to contractual defenses, Uniform Commercial Code defenses, with an emphasis on class action defenses and appellate work. Ellison has been involved in over twenty successful appeals on behalf of her clients.

Ellison graduated from Stetson University, College of Law with her juris doctor degree. She earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in Political Science and Mass Media Communications, as well as a minor in English from Florida State University.

In 2016, Ellison was recognized by Tampa Bay Business Journal as a Top Up and Comer Under 40. She was also recognized by Florida Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in both 2010 and 2011.

Along with her professional achievements and recognitions, Ellison is committed to her involvement within the community. She is a member of the American Heart Association’s Circle of Red, USF Women in Leadership and Philanthropy, and is a graduate of Leadership Tampa Class of 2012. Her volunteerism extends to serving on the Cattle Baron’s Ball Committee for the American Cancer Society of Tampa Bay and she served on the 2016 Host Committee for GCM’s Imagination Gala.
