Women’s Exchange Member Kelly Lefferts Appointed to Children’s Home Society of Gulf Coast Florida Board

Tampa, FL – Women’s Exchange member, Kelly Lefferts, was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for the Children’s Home Society of Gulf Coast Florida. The Children’s Home Society leads the charge to implement new initiatives that dramatically transform the lives of children and families. The organization offers counseling, foster care referral, adoption support, mentoring and much more.

Kelly is the Group Vice President and US General Counsel and Secretary for Bloomin’ Brands, Inc., which is headquartered in Tampa, FL. She handles domestic legal matters for the company and its subsidiaries, including Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar. She’s been with the company since October of 1997.

Kelly recently was named the Public Company Top Corporate Counsel in 2018 by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. She is a founding board member of The Restaurant Law Center and the Bloomin’ Brands Women’s Interests Network. She is also a member of the Toastmasters Highrisers and a troop leader with the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida.

Kelly graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Advertising before completing her Juris Doctor degree from UF’s College of Law. She then went on to complete her Master of Laws degree at the New York University School of Law.
