Tampa, FL – Women’s Exchange member, Melissa Ernst, was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for the Florida Trucking Association (FTA) and serves as the Finance Committee Chair. The Florida Trucking Association has promoted and protected the interests of Florida’s trucking and transportation industry for more than 80 years.
Melissa is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Driver Services at Quality Distribution Inc., which is headquartered in Tampa, FL. She’s been associated with FTA for several years through Quality Distribution Inc. and was eager to perform in a leadership capacity for the association.
Melissa joined Quality Distribution Inc. in 2001 and became Vice President of Human Resources in 2005. In 2014, she was elevated to the role of Senior Vice President.
Prior to joining QDI, Melissa worked for Southern Company Energy Marketing and Tech Data Corporation. She holds an undergraduate degree from East Carolina University.
